Established in 1872, The South Bend Tribune is a morning newspaper that publishes seven days a week. It is locally owned by Schurz Communications (schurz.com), which also owns WSBT-TV and Radio. In addition to the daily paper, The Tribune publishes InTheBend (inthebend.com), a weekly arts and entertainment publication that is included in the Thursday paper or available free of charge at various locations around town, and ND Insider (ndinsider.com), a University of Notre Dame sports publication that publishes weekly during football season and once a month the rest of the year.
WSBT and WNDU host four local newscasts per day Monday through Friday, morning, mid-day, early evening, and late-evening. They host three newscasts Saturday and Sunday, morning, early evening, and late-evening. WSBT also hosts a 10 p.m. local newscast Monday through Friday on Channel 22.2. WSJV hosts morning and late-evening newscasts Monday through Friday and a late-evening newscast Saturday and Sunday. The station's late-evening newscast airs at 10 p.m. WBND hosts three newscasts per day Monday through Friday, morning, early evening and late-evening, and two per day (early evening and late-evening) Saturday and Sunday.
